Feel free to come even if you haven't joined! Bring friends!

We will be having our meeting on February 9th (Monday) at 6:00pm in Pugh Hall (if there's an event going on in Pugh Hall when we plan on having the meeting, then we will meet in the courtyard in front of Pugh) where we will have free cookies and will be planning and preparing for the Kiss-In that we're hosting with Gainesville CodePINK! There will be crafts to make signs so come help us make some cool signs!

The Kiss-In is on Valentine's Day. Bring a kissing partner, or just BE THERE! Maybe you'll find a kissing partner! ;) There will be sign-holding, sidewalk art, prizes for the longest kiss and most creative!

Check out the flyer!:

For more info on the event and to invite your friends, check out the event page: Kiss-In Event Page!

We will also be discussing other upcoming events such as the reading of Ann Wright and Susan Dixon's amazing book Dissent, the Anniversary of the War Protest in March, International Women’s Day Campaign, the Back Bone Campaign, Earth Day, and there's an awesome opportunity to be a part of a Peace Ad Video! We will be discussing the details of the Peace Ad at the meeting and if you're interested let us know!

As well as all these exciting events, we must remember that we must be apart of the change we seek! So CodePink will also be discussing the ways in which we hope to keep President Obama to his promises of peace. Ask us about peace ribbons!

As Barack Obama is sworn in as President of the United States of America, we are more mindful than ever of the Promises for Peace he made to the American people during his campaign.

CODEPINK's promise to you is to find creative, productive ways to hold Obama to his Promises for Peace. We will be the string around his finger that reminds him to practice what he preaches and deliver the change our country so desperately needs. Please join us in REMINDING OBAMA!
